I took a vaccine jab yesterday along with my wife. I took covishield from Astra Zeneca. There was no rush. We were taken to registration room straight away on entering and the 1st doze was administered immediately afterwards. There were few people sitting in the waiting room who had already been administered the doze. We were made to wait for half an hour under observation before we were allowed to go with no side effects whatsoever. I was eligible to take a doze long time back but avoided taking it so far considering side effects lot of people get. I had to change my mind considering a very severe covid19 situation in the country and pressure from my children. My second doze is die on 9th of June. Have you taken your jab?

It is much easier here for people above 45. No rush there are enough jabs for everyone. Besides vaccine hesitancy is there. The story is not the same elsewhere in India. Some places feel the shortage.

@msdivkar Yes, we are facing the shortage. As the government exported the vaccine for helping other countries, we are facing shortage.

You may be having different thoughts about the vaccine. I read some opposition to it from some eminent personalities.

@msdivkar Based on what I know, I just don't think it is absolutely necessary unless someone is elderly or sick from something else. Those are the ones who need this.

@porwest I don't know anything about this virus so do so called as experts. They go on updating their beliefs about spread of this virus. My school time classmate and eminent doctor practicing in Mumbai and treating covid patients in his own hospital, is of strong belief that this virus is air borne. Considering people getting this infection sitting at home, confirms this belief.

No vaccine yet for me. Supposedly it would be Mom and Lil Bro first in this house. Mom is under the elderly category while Lil Bro for disability. Me, I'll have to wait much longer.

That's great to know that you already had your vaccine. How are you feeling right now? We are not included on the first priorities but hopefully soon. The umber of cases in our area is also increasing.

I hope that you do not have any adverse side effects from this shot. We have not had ours yet, because although the Astra Zeneca vaccine is offered for our age group, we fear the side effects. Next week we should be able to register for the Phizer or Moderna shots.
