I spent last Thursday in excruting pain in my abdomen and back as well as constantly vomiting. Most normal pepole would have immediately gone to the ER but I foolishly thought it would go away. Nope. Finally at 2:30 am I gave up and headed there. It was amazing to see how many people were there at 3 am on a Friday morning. It took me over an hour to be triaged.
They did blood work and a CT scan and discovered a massive intestinal infection and moved me to to the ICU for close monitoring. After several days I was moved to a regular rooom with a totally crazy woman. I was very happy to be discharged. . .
. . . and then I crashed my car trying to get out of the parking lot. I failed the DUI test because my balance is terrible. I told the officer that I hadn't had anything to drink or any narcotics yet he still arrested me.
When it rains it pours.

OMG...what do they think caused your infection? Maybe you should sue the cop..Did you end up in a holding cell?

Oh, wow...you crashed your car? Can you not prove with medical info that you don't have good balance?

First, let me say I am not laughing about all this but rather laughing about the incredible situation you found yourself in, I am so glad you got out of the hospital but not glad you got arrested, I hope you are all right now and everything has been straightened out

Typically they don't recommend you drive after being discharged from the hospital. At least the accident didn't send you back in.

You got arrested for driving, after being discharged from a hospital? This is a new one, that I've never heard of before today! What an A*s-Ho*e!

Wow! You haven't had a good time, take it easy and take good care of yourself. Sometimes we think we are very strong and so we allow illnesses to undermine us little by little.

Gosh I'm so sorry to hear this. Surely they gave you a breath test that proved you hadn't been drinking?

I thought in the US they don't discharge you if you're unable to drive safely? I hope the damage isn't too big, but that can wait. Please rest up.
