Which music do you like better?

What do you like better, instrumentals or vocals? I would have to say it depends on the type of music. I like jazz a lot because me and my dad always listened to it together, and I much prefer the plain music rather than when there are vocals. I think the music is beautiful in its own right and can be very soothing.

I like house, techno, trance and stuff like that. I like instrumental, but a bit of vocal gives the music a bit of life. It's more pleasant to listen to beats with some vocal than only beats. When I am working i like instrumental only because I can concentrate better.

Generally I prefer vocal music, but of course that depends on what typ of music it is. I think one of the reasons I prefer vocal music is that I am a singer myself, so I relate more to vocal music than to intrsumental music. I love listening to vocal jazz, and the Swedish jazz singer Rigmor Gustafsson is one of my favourites. She's released three CD's during the last few years on german label ACT, they are all really good CD's! you should try them!

I tend to like the songs with lyrics better because I like to be able to sing along. I can hum along to the instrumentals, but it's not as fun.
