The world isn't real

I was having an online conversation with someone. The person wrote to me: "The world isn't real. It is a computer game, and we are all part of that game"
It is one of the strangest conversations I have had with someone online. At first I thought that the person was joking or trolling, but I think that the person actually believes those things. I didn't really know what to say to them.
There are other people who think that our world is computer simulation. I know that Nick Bostrom (philosopher from Sweden) has written about this topic, but I haven't read it.
According to that idea someone outside the game is creating everything that happens to us. I wonder what the creaters of the game were thinking last year. Maybe they were thinking: "This game is getting kind of boring. Let's create a pandemic and see what happens"

@Porcospino I have heard this and it's a very interesting subject though, I still haven't seen or heard any evidence to back that up but I find it interesting. It would be weird if it was true though! Would completely spin a lot of people out including myself.

I also think it is interesting. I know that some people have written about this topic and made YouTube videos about it, but I am not sure exactly what they are saying about it. Yes, it would be weird if it was true. I might write a short story about the topic, I think that could be interesting.

@Porcospino If you do write a short story about this, will you be sharing it on MyLot? I'd love to read it but I understand if it's personal.
I have seen videos too and it's very intriguing, I just don't know right now. Though, even scientists have some agreement to it being a possibility.

It's certainly weird what people get into their heads and then think sometimes. Maybe it's along the lines of thinking it's all fate anyway and nothing we do can stop or change the way the events unfold.

It is a strange thought. I once heard someone say that that people from other parts of the universe haven't contacted us because they are watching us instead (like a human zoo)
