Sometimes I wonder why in most cases you find that someone is alone in the house, lives in a bungalow sarrounded by high wall or electric fence and security guards at the gate yet still he or she locks her/himself in the bathroom while taking shower. Why the fear?!

Because when you're in the shower, you're the most vernable and the least likely to hear trouble or respond quickly if something were to happen. There are stories of people being attacked in their homes because someone found a way to hide in their home undetected. In today's world, everyone is afraid of their own shadow and women especially are constantly being warned of threats.

Yes that is right but if you have locked the doors and gate you should feel safe

I dont like the idea of having a lock on the bathroom or bedroom doors but that is because the locks can jam if there is a fire because the metal expands.
I also once got locked in a small toilet because the lock broke... They had to take an axe to an oak door
