A bit surprised to listen to Eric Clapton singing a song for the Holy Mother. Eric Clapton is a Filipino favorite. You could hear his songs all around town to this day - from hotel bars to karaoke clubs, in taxi cabs and lowly jeepney radios blasting Wonderful Tonight. Filipinos are guitarists. Clapton songs are easy choices.
I was glad to hear the song about the Blessed Mother. Made me tear up a bit when tenor Luciano Pavarotti joined in for the duet.
Was used to old church hymns for the Mother of our Lord such as Immaculate Mother and Gentle Woman that with the two famous artists belting it out on stage, with a choir in the background, am sure the singing has already become a fervent prayer.
In your arms, Holy Mother, when ....

I like that activity - listening to worship songs. Augustine said singing is twice the prayer we utter.

Yes, indeed a lovely music to listen to. Made me close my eyes and imagine our Lord Jesus as a Little Boy running to His Mama's arms for an embrace after probably tumbling down and getting hurt. And His Mama comforts Him with tender hushes saying it's all right My Sweet Little Child.
Yes, I did contrast the innocent Image to that painful picture of an Oblation on the Cross, and our bleeding Lord, asphyxiated, still looks at His Mother and entrusts Her to John.
We are all like our Lord, as Clapton's song hums, we turn to our Mother when we are hurt and wounded.

@RebeccasFarm Yes, we always turn to our mothers in times of troubles. Even Paul McCartney wrote a song in honor of his mother - Let It Be.
I do believe our God formed His most perfect creation in a mother for He equipped her with TLC - tender loving care.
