Religious Freedom (bullying) vs the "Gay Agenda"

United Kingdom

Let me start by saying I am not against any form of religion. If that's what you chose then good for you. Be the best Christian, Muslim, Sikh or whatever you can be. Lean into it and make it count. I have no beef with you. So please tell me why you have a beef with me? Why do SOME (not all) religious people have such a problem with gay people? You chose to be religious, none of us chose to be gay. But we don't go around telling you that you shouldn't exist and you don't deserve to be treated equally. You know why? Because that would be cruel, hurtful, and unnecessary. And as people who have often been persecuted and treated unfairly for something we have no control over we know what it's like to be bullied. Why do some religious people think they're better than LGBTQ+ people and that their lives are worth more? And don't tell me it's about opinion because it isn't. If it was then you would be okay with my opinion about religious bullying. You can be religious without being a complete D-bag about it. My uncle Mick was an example of this, he was a lay-preacher who offered to give me away at my wedding. He yelled at my sister for being intolerant and told her that being gay didn't make me a bad person, but trying to bully your sister did. .... And scene.

I find it amusing that a lot of Catholic people don't realise that the translations of the bible said nothing against homosexuality but rather was against the anal rape of male angels by horn bag male dudes because the angels were divine creatures I suspect with a really nice a$$ too. The bible was also against paedophilia but of course that was changed to GAY.

What about when they talk about sodomy in Babylon, its there; the bible discourages sodomy and its in very many verses

@Belexhanns Actually it discourages anal rape of angels and paedophilia throughout the translations the original meaning was lost and used against the LGBTQ community.

Friend, this is all aberrational. I think is that what happens is that people do not understand that "my right ends right where yours begins." That is, I do not have the right to pretend that I am better than anyone or to invade their rights as a person.

I agree with you. They think that if one group gets rights, they somehow get fewer rights.

It sounds like you have a wonderful understanding uncle. The world needs more like him in the religious community.

Imagine if you said that about someone's race? How awful would that be? And it's equally as awful when you say it about a gay person.

@Belexhanns Artificial insemination. And that's a deeply flawed argument because the world isn't FULL of them. There's some, just some.
