I decided to bite the bullet, and send my Dell in for mail-in repair. I'd let the Warenty expire, so it cost me money out-of-pocket, but it was a lot less than I'd expected given what was required. Apart from saving me money, the device would've required a mail-in repair. I'm just happy to get the e-mail informing me it's returning to me. Finally, I'll have a fully fuctioning touch screen again. Not that I don't love the Asus I'm currently typing on. Touch screens are easier for paying bills and so on.

I found it at my front door this afternoon. I'm on it now. And, the issues appear to be resolved.

I have found--in many, not all--cases it is cheaper to buy a new tech item!

I completely agree. Apart from sticker shock, things seem to be working out better than I had hoped. I'll admit, I'd been a bit nervus dropping it off at walgreens, but it worked out great.

Thanks, it's not completely fixed, but I'm thankful that it's not literally in two pieces anymore.

It's good that it's not taking to long to be mailed either way. Sometimes you never know these days.

That is really good. I was going to buy a new computer or laptop because my chromebook would not run certain programs but my daughter was selling her laptop and I am currently using that.
