Where did Caesar Salad Originate?

Caesar Salad?
Philippines

Caesar Salad is served in most if not all the restaurants in the world. It's a very famous dish and I consider it one of my favorite. While having lunch with my friend, he asked the waiter where in the world did this salad originate. The waitstaff said he will get back to us with the answer but because the restaurant was busy, maybe he forgot about us. I was pretty sure that Italy was the origin but just to make sure I googled it. Where else can you get the answer. I was surprised!!! This dish originated in TIJUANA, MEXICO. whaaaatttt? this place has the highest murder rate per capita of any city in Mexico. I know there's no connection to the salad but would you have guessed it came from that place?

@Balmond21 @m_audrey6788 I'm not sure about "all the restaurants in the world". I've *never* seen a Caesar Salad in Germany or Italy.

@Balmond21 That's sad news. Have you found an ersatz job on land? What does the abbreviation NCL mean?

@peachpurple Why should it be Spain? Caesar was an Italian, not a Spaniard!

I thought that the names of the salads differ because of the ingredients. This is new knowledge for me.
