Poetry: The unfulfillment of boredom

Everything is a waste of time to the bored. Nothing is a waste of time in reality.

I was sitting around feeling bored, ignored. I had plenty to do, but it was boring to do. Nothing fulfilled me with itself, left unfelt, as I had lost connection to my inner wealth. Boredom is a type of deep suffering. We gruffer at life by being its utter duffer. Can we become a tougher bluffer? Only if we see through to life's upper buffer. Love lives not in the outerness of yourself, until the innerness has contacted it too. Boredom will bore into you from all sides, until you side with love, and go on its rides due. I started paying attention to who I was. I wrote down these words to be freed. The pain of boredom is forever ignoring, boredom bores you away from yourself. the end line is epic my friend. I love that - of course was the poem a waste of time? (kidding)!!!!!! paying attention reminds me of the old joke. Pay attention? I am too poor to pay attention!

Well, no, it was not a waste of time, so boredom can inspire one at times, to launch oneself out of it. I could add to that joke, I am too bored to be bored.

@DocAndersen Thanks, Scott. You are like me, you like the subtle play on words, with many possible meanings to them. You have to consider, what is considerable enough, of what to pick, to pick apart

We need to be proactive when feeling bored. I have never felt bored. Now we have the internet to keep us occupied which is a treasure house of everything - whatever floats our boats finds a place there. To get away from flimsy pursuits, one needs to bask in love. The internal connection and inner knowing should guide our pursuits here to find fulfillment; otherwise, we are just filling our time with frivolous pursuits.

For me, if l am not feeling totally fulfilled, l start to tire, or feel bored with what l am doing, and so l then look for something better, more fulfilling for me to do.

@innertalks I tend to switch what I do every hour. I do some housework except cooking when my wife is around. Then some shopping and in between, I am on my laptop, smartphone, keeping up to date with news. Most news is negative, so quickly move on to myLot to feel more at home!

@Shiva49 Yes, we all need to mix up our days a bit, as all work, and no play made Jack a dull boy, as the old nursery rhyme tells us.
