Vaccination - No slots available for next 2 months (Gov Centers )

April 29, 2021 6:07am CST
Yesterday, It was announced that 18+ can apply for Vaccination. To get vaccinated , you need to apply online. And registration was opened from 28th April 2021. Hence I tried to login today after 12pm to see if I can get a slot for myself and my family. You won't believe, the slot is full for next 2 months. I was 16 hours late to apply and it says there is no Slot available. According to cost which is declared --> If I go to Government centers for vaccination then it will 650 (approx $10 ) and if I go to Private centers then vaccination cost will be double ( Approx $20). Hence I was planning for a government registration since that will save my $100. Did you get a slot or vaccinated ? What's the cost in your place ? How were your first 3 days after vaccination ?

Pretty and I got our first shot on April 20th. We are scheduled for our second shot on May 18th. Our government is giving the shots for free. Pretty had an upset stomach, headache and arm ache for two days. I was really hungry for two days. If you need/want money for the shot at the private clinic, please tell me. I will give it to you.

Hey! How are you doing ? Glad you two had no signs Touch wood... Actually I tried today as well, but no dates/slot available. I will wait for next 2 months and see if I can get a slot by then. If you need/want money for the shot at the private clinic I thought we are going to party at McD/Pizza hut .... I don't want it at private clinic for sure

Not yet available for every one here. We still have to wait for June or July. I hope you can get a slot after 2 months.

I am still not being called. They open slots for AstraZeneca the other day. We can register if we want as it is not included as the main vaccine. That one was gone in seconds, despite lots of people being scepticism about it.

We have had both shots; and there was no cost. Other than a sore arm, I didn't have any side effects. My husband had the chills the evening of the first shot...just a sore arm with the second. I hope you get your shots soon.

Personally, I have not been vaccinated, but as far as I know, in Kenya, you do not have to pay for a vaccine. perhaps maybe wait for the queue.

Queue is another challenge for us. Indians have tendency of behaving like Amitabh Bachan ( Movie Actor who had a popular line (from a movie ) -"Line starts from where I stand "
