She is Protecting the Blue Eggs

Went out to check on the beautiful blue robin eggs I talked about a few days ago. The nest is hidden in my holly bush. The female robin always flies away when I get close. Today she stayed on the nest and stared me down. I snapped one photo and left. This behavior usually means either the babies have hatched. Or they are about to hatch. An exciting time. Glad to see the Momma is protecting the babies. See the white spots on her face? That tells you she is a female. Photo is mine.

What a good mama. My parrot Scarlett used to lay an egg or two each winter. She would hover over them all day and night. I'd let her have them for a week or so and then dispose of them.

@CarolDM I do not see a picture here. I can imagine she does not like people being close to her nest. That is a Momma that wants to protect her little ones.
