Do you know Mussels Soup?

Germany
May 4, 2021 4:33am CST
Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters I woke up in a windy and cold weather. I think it will rain anytime later. Therefore, I can`t have a good walk today It`s ok. I will just have my dancing exercise. Good thing that yesterday we went to buy some food and saw some mussels in the Turkeys shop. They have this fresh looking shells and wanted to try today. It was an easy soup to make. First you just have to fry it with minced garlic, onion and ginger. Then, pour a cup of water let it boil for 2 minutes or until the mussels is cooked. Then, put the chili leaves and let it boil for a minute. Then serve it with steamed rice. How about you my dear mylotters? Do you know Mussels Soup? How do you make your own mussels soup? What are you having for today? I hope you can share it with me here Have a great day and Happy mylotting Photo: google

These shells were very common here. These days because of pollution they have become very scarce. We cook them in spiced coconut gravy or fry them. Either way they taste very nice. I like them very much.

Yes, mussels are very common in Italy, but we prefer them only steamed in olive oil with a bit of water, not in a soup.

@m_audrey6788 It's very good, but it's no more the season, mussels and all shelled fish only in the cold months.

I’ve never had mussel soup. I’m allergic to seafood, so I probably never will, either. But I think you could put an old tennis shoe in minced garlic, onion, ginger, and chili leaves and make it taste good!
