I am sure the moon and Mars are some of these destinations. I don't believe
that they can build a colony on Mars by the year 2050. Well are you going
to be one of all these millions living on space? . No one will know what planet
earth is holding for the future. Lets see.

I really don't think so. Why do scientists keep lying to people

maybe more than that or no one at all, because this world is burning as we deplete its natural resources, and maybe over 50 or 100 years, we will need to either adapt or make a new home, so its discovery and devastation both at the same time, hope for the best i guess

Well living in space is not a solution. But it is not to late to try to fix planet earth. if every one do their part
then earth will be OK in long term.

Human being basically ruined the earth, now, some of them want to colonize Moon and Mars. It's too evil.I wish it won't happen.
If it really happens,no one will care our green planet,it will gradually go to die, only the poor people and weak creatures rot in this deserted world.
Those richmen can emigrate to moon and mars, continue their heavenly and corruptive life. It's too unfair.I think if there is really a God,this evil plan will never come true

You are 100% right we people destroyed planet earth and we will pay the price. Any ways China is
officially building a space station in addition that the one already there for years. Who knows what
are their reasons to spend millions of dollars for this project.

@coolsite it's just like the Tik Tok,the Space station is a spy project to supervise the whole world, meantime,it's also a fort to start a space war.Surely,it's all my personal guess. But i guess they never will use it to benefit the human being

@choijungeun I am going to do some research and see what is the size or the moon and mars. Are they bigger than planet earth or smaller. But you must realize that they are 1000 of planets out there and
once they have a helicopter can fly in space then will be some sort of commuting between planets.

Yes indeed will come true. Look at the facts. USA spending billions of dollars to explore space in
particular moon and mars. Why you think are doing so? that is the plan that some time in the future
will have million of people living in space because the earth resources are getting poor , there is
not enough good , not enough fuel and not enough to live normal life.

I'm not exactly the pioneer type, but the time will come when people are living their whole lives on other planets and in space colonies - maybe in my lifetime, but I'm as sure as I can be that it'll happen this century. The human race can't just live on one planet forever - what happens if there's another ice age or a giant asteroid strike like the one that killed the dinosaurs. Colonising the Moon, Mars and other places gives the human race the best insurance policy possible. In any case, there are massive resources out in the Solar System waiting to be exploited - far more than we've got just on Earth.

First of all would like to welcome you to mylot community. Well the way I see it we destroyed planet earth.
so now we have to pay the price. That's why USA ,Russia and China are spending big money to explore
space. One day will come that earth cannot supply food, energy and other resources .

@coolsite Thanks for the welcome, Elie. We've certainly done some damage - plastic waste being dumped in the sea etc. But I don't think the situation is hopeless. There's been a lot of effort into reducing pollution - even just in my lifetime the air quality's improved, although there's certainly a way to go. In another generation petrol-driven cars will be almost unknown, and there are loads of clean ways to generate electricity. As far as we know, we're the first species on this planet that's intelligent enough to see the problems then do something about it. There are always going to be problems, but on balance I think the future's hopeful.
