Lost my Dad in 2017. Today is his birthday. He is missed every single day.
So many memories we shared together. We talked every day on the phone.
He loved bird watching. The cardinals (red birds- as he called them) were his favorite.
Such a funny sense of humor he had. If I was ever down, he could always say something to make me smile.
Enjoy those you love as you never know what tomorrow holds.
These two chairs are where we sat each time I visited. He loved being outside.
We had many talks in these chairs. Forever memories.

@CarolDM If you ever want to talk about it, I'd be willing to listen. I lost both my parents, in 2000 and 2002 respectivly. I had to watch them decline.

@CarolDM That is indeed tough especially for a young girl.
I am thankful my parents lived till I had well settled into my life.
My only son is also now settled in life; I used to worry earlier as he was born after fourteen years of our married life.

You are welcome. i see with your posts about the birds the the pictures you show us tells me that you love birds too. That is great that you had that in common with your Dad and I am sure among other things that you too had in common.

He must be watching down on you as you remember him.
I hope these voids get filled one day.
Happy birthday to him.
May his soul rest in peace.

Nobody can actually. Iagree.
Dads are what they are.
Grumpy-looking fellows but love us a lot underneath.

I know the feeling of loosing a father who always makes you smile. I lost my father very early 2008 he was only 53yrs. old and it was a shock to all of us but we have to be happy for him so he could rest in peace. I still miss him so much

Aww, that is sweet. One thing that always impressed me about my dad is that although my sister and I have identical voices..many people have commented on the fact that we sound exactly the same..my dad always knew which one of us he was talking to, and this was in the days before Caller ID was common, even now though through his mental fog he knows.
