You can't sit with us

This is what the lady's tee shirt said. My husband and I were on our way home from a quick day trip.
We took a short break from the rest of the drive home. Yes, we had our masks on and remained a good distance away from everyone.
However, it was still quite easy to see what people were wearing. This lady had a tee shirt that said, You Can't Sit With Us. I smiled to myself, shook my head to myself and probably rolled my eyes to myself as well.
I would have had no problem with the lady - she seemed nice enough but the kid she had with her was a totally different story. If I had to guess, I'd say he was about 10 years old.
To sum it up gently regarding the young boy, he had entirely too much energy and way too little respect.
So, as the shirt says, You Can't Sit With Us, my emphatic reply is, No Problem. I will sit or stand elsewhere.

I really don't believe that he was thinking in the first place.

I absolutely agree. It's sad when anybody is rude and disrespectful but in this case it was the young son.
I have a few shirts with funny, or as you stated, interesting lines. I'm careful as to when and where I wear them.

@betlynfrnds I have two different kinds of shirts with sayings on them. One is a sports shirt for the home team. I have several of them. The other has a Christian message on it. I have several of those too.

That`s the reason why I don`t like to wear t-shirts with words that I don`t like or will affect others

I think I can guess who the blame goes to.
The shirt was a blessing; an ironic blessing. Disrespect is the general attitude these days.

@DianneN It's a sign of the times in an otherwise 'me first' world.

@betlynfrnds You’re right. To me, respect and manners begin in the home. It’s a shame that it’s not taught anymore, and pathetic to see disrespect way up the line to the government.

That is a funny statement on a shirt. What she was actually saying was "social distance please"

@CarolDM Is that ever the case; I'm seeing it more and more these days. There's quite a bit of 'me first' going on.

@CarolDM We stay home quite a bit too. When we do go out, however, there seems to be some one who manages to turn me off in some way.

@betlynfrnds I stay home most of the time, and this is one of the reasons. People are just too rude for me. Hard to enjoy when you experience this.

Oh that is beautiful! I wholeheartedly agree. Whenever we are out and about and some kid starts acting up, I turn to my husband and remind him as to why I love my pets so much. He's on the same page.
