Why do siblings fight?

I have a twin kids. They are of 13 years at present. As being their summer vacations and schools being closed even before the vacations due to pandemic they used to stay at home most of the time.
It's my wife who gets frustrated by their fights and arguments they have between them daily. Sometime she complains me when I come back home and I make them understand that they should not fight but after few days they start doing it again.
Sometimes I also get frustrated but could not do anything. It's strange I never used to fight with my brothers in childhood like they do.
Please suggest what should be done.

Everyone fights sometimes. Especially if the people are used to having more time apart. With them being unable to step away from situations easily, that doesn't help.

Sibling rivalry is common and it can be beneficial. You will find they are also the fiercest of friends when anyone comes against either of them.

just show to them how people around them behave to any problems happen.like say thank you for every simple things, say sorry for any mistake even its a light mistake.
teach them to share for they toy each other, teach them to ask politely if want to borrow something.
i even have not married yet, but i have a lot of nephews and niece.
thats i ususally teach them if i'm around them.

They fight because they are kids. It is part of growing up

It happens and it's natural. You can try making them stay apart for few days if possible, who knows they realise each other's value. Have a good day. Take care
