While I still have refrains of the Star Trek: Enterprise Theme rumbling around in my head, a new song popped out of my brain today.
"Words of Love" featuring Cass Elliot (Mama Cass of the Mamas and the Papas), was released as a single in 1966 and peaked at #5 in the U.S. The song was written by John Phillips, another member of the group.
Elliot had a career as a solo artist after the group broke up in 1968.
Cass was born September 19, 1941 and died on July 29, 1974 of a heart attack. Another great artist taken away with still a lot of success to achieve.

She was a great singer. We thought she choked on something and there was no one around to help her?
Anyway, I learned recently that "an earworm" is what is used to refer to a song stuck in our head. Never heard it before.

Actually the story that Cass Elliot choked on a ham sandwich was a myth. She had a heart attack.

I do not know about the Star Trek theme but I do love this song by Cass Elliot and another one I like by her is Dream a Little Dream Of me
