Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters
I woke up in a cloudy and cold weather. It looks like it is going to rain later. As always I can`t go out for a walk but will have a good dancing exercise
Today, I`m planning to prepare a Chicken Ala King. This is the one I learned from my father but made some little changes because I don`t like green peas in it but if you like it you can add it on. First you have to fry your chicken but not too crispy. Then, make the sauce. Fry minced garlic, onion and mushrooms with butter or olive oil but I like it with butter because it brings a different taste in it. After put 6 teaspoons of flour let it fry for a while and then pour a 1 and half cup of chicken stock let it boil for until the sauce thickens then pour the chopped carrots and corn in it and sprinkle some salt and pepper. Then, let it boil for 5 minutes. Then, pour a box of creamer and let it boil again for 5 minutes. Then, you can serve it with a nice steamed rice
How about you my dear mylotters? Do you like Chicken Ala King? How do you like it cooked in your own way? What are you having for today?
I hope you can share it with me here
Have a great day and Happy mylotting

I even liked Marine Chicken Ala King. that should;d tell you something. Military food. Actually had a buddy in National Guard and that fool tried every day to make sure his brethren got to taste like it was a sophisticated Restaurant. It was rather neat. I wonder if he kept that spirit two years later.

@m_audrey6788 It was actually pretty good for most part. The National guard dudes one made your mouth water/ Its always a time thing and what deployments are going on. Cooks get deployed too and the head cooks so military food can vary a lot.

That sounds delicious! I might try it for my husband and children with little variations to suit their taste. And so many veggies to it will definitely make it extra healthy.
What kind of flour you add? Corn flour??

I have not cooked chicken for a long time now. For lunch I just had hot and spicy canned corned tuna with potatoes and lemon water.
