Yes, we can still get the virus even after we are fully vaccinated. It may not make us as sick, maybe not sick at all, but it is still around. Businesses will be opening doors for all with no masks needed, but I will continue to wear one inside stores, though I am vaccinated.
Torres is the first Yankees player to have a breakthrough case of COVID-19.

State law in Louisiana requires all of us to keep our masks on.

Heard it last night, and although I am fully vaccinated, I will continue to wear my mask.

I saw no one without a mask where I shopped for groceries today.

This is a my plan as well - to continue wearing a mask even after I'm vaccinated.

Not a good situation at all makes me glad that mostly I keep to myself and when I go out streets are fairly empty and the stores too but I do carry a mask with me all the time,

@RasmaSandra Oh, it was very busy and I ended up with a lot of returning students. It was fun, but tiring too.

@JamesHxstatic Well, unfortunately the governor signed a bill cancelling all local emergency orders relating to Covid, to go into effect July 1. So after that the county will not be able to require or enforce the mask mandate.

Yes, our school nurse had to quarantine this month, even though she was one of the first vaccinated. Due to HIPPA we did not get the whole story, but just a blurb in our school e mail that an adult in our school tested positive. Then she was out and not available for a number of days.

Strange how many are positive with no or light symptoms.

Still scary to take off the mask. The vaccine is not an assurance of a covid free environment.

yes, even when fully vaccinated you can get the virus, but it wont affect your health as much it would without the vaccination.

True, of those eight that tested positive, only one or two had symptoms.

In my honest opinion, there is just not enough valid and reliable information suggesting that any of the vaccinations that are currently on the market for COVID-19 are going to provide some type of immunity against the virus. It generally takes, ten years to develop a successful vaccination for any disease. The current vaccinations on the market for COVID were implemented in a matter of months! this is a problem. If the vaccination is suppose to provide immunity to the virus, why can't doctors provide a timeline of how long the vaccine is suppose to provide immunity and why is there so much controversy in the number of vaccines that one should receive? Vaccination is truly a personal choice and I know that until there is more reliable information on the market, I choose not to get vaccinated. I am also one of these people who will wear a mask probably forever as COVID in reality will never be irradiated.

Viruses keep mutating, which there is a new flu vaccine every year. This deadly virus we are now dealing with comes from that same family and new strains appear as it changes. I feel pretty safe with my vaccine now and even got the shingrix vaccine last week to avoid shingles (from the chicken pox virus that stays in our bodies for life).
