A cute hide and seek story from the preschool.

One of the things the kids at the preschool like me to do with them is play hide and seek. Of course they are terrible hiders. But I think that's intentional. I tend to hear giggles when I am close to them but "can't find them." When I search for them, I intentionally look in all the wrong places before saying "I found you!" They squeal with delight when they're found. The cute part is that when one of them is the "seeker," they imitate my behavior and pretend not to see their friends for a little while before they find them. This behavior was initiated by my (now) 3-year-old friend Isabella, whom I've known since she was 1 1/2. Soon, other kids started doing the same thing. I wonder if, in their tiny minds, they actually think that (pretending not to see your friends) is how hide and seek is played. Or if they know they're being "funny" when they intentionally look in all the wrong places. (They don't know that I use Albert Bandura's modeling--engaging in behaviors I want them to engage in--when I work with them.) I'll attach a photo of Julissa, one of my all-time favorite littlies that I knew since she was a baby. She was my all time "puzzle queen" at the mom and kid rehab program.

She is so cute. I think they have started to think this is how hide and seek is played. LOL

Kitty is kind of afraid of them because they move so fast.

@oahuwriter Yep. I've experienced this. I've known Horse Jr. since he was three. He will turn 13 this year.

@TheHorse You know, children will be that age for only a short while, then, they grow so fast.

Yes, I use her photo fairly often here. Plus it's in some of my YouTube videos.
