As a child, I have heard of news about Jews and Arabs contesting ownership of a space in the Holy Land. The news were violent. To my young mind, those involved in physically harming and killing each other could be actually desecrating the Holy Land.
Fast forward to 2021, the Israelis and the Palestinians have upgraded the sticks and stones to rockets countered by the Iron Dome and pin-point precision air strikes over targets.
Of course the casualties on both sides are reduced to collateral damage of the war.
With the internet active and the media alert on breaking news hour on the hour, the world is actually witnessing what has been prophesied - the skies will be red (or orange against the backdrop of darkness), and will be seen by the whole world at the same time (as we watch on our screens), while the Gospel is being preached (online liturgical services).
Now that I am old, I do not wonder any longer why the Jews and the Arabs would sacrifice life and limb in holding on to the Holy Land. It's the story of their people all the way back to Isaac and Ishmael, sons of Abraham. Of course we know now who was kept and who was banished.
Thus the continuing saga of God's people. Here, take a look.
Gravitas Plus | Crusades, Wars & Uprisings. Jerusalem has seen it all. It's called the city of peace yet remains in conflict. What makes this 'holy land' so ...

The internet factor matters. The Palestinians are pouring out their grievances in lengthy tales. The Jews are standing firm with their ancestral claim. The world is being made judge and jury.

@florelway Yes. The Zamboanga and Marawi siege were two terrifying incidents in current Philippine history.

@eileenleyva it's just like the Muslims claiming their land and the insurgency here.

Wars have been fought since the very beginning of creation. Cain slew his brother Abel, committing the first murder. All down through the ages God continued to victor in battle, for his obedient servants. All prophecy has been fulfilled, except for the physical return of Jesus Christ. He will set up his kingdom on the earth.

True. There was once an archangel who wanted to become like God. Realizing God has a plan of creating a most beautiful creature in the person of a girl called Mary, that archangel of light rebelled against God and persuaded many other angels to fight God. Good thing there was an Archangel Michael, the prince of the heavens, who drove away the evil ones down to eternal damnation - hell.
Thus Salvation History is filled with battles of Good versus evil.
I believe in the Parousia but I think God's Kingdom is in heaven.

@eileenleyva God cast Lucifer and his follows out of heaven, onto the earth. That's why there are so many wicked things going on in the world. God's Kingdom will be set up on earth, as it is in Heaven.

@kobesbuddy Am sorry, let me clarify that the Kingdom of Heaven is where our Lord Jesus is. He came and dwelt amongst us and that means the Kingdom has been established here on earth - in our Lord's Universal Church. It is in the Lord's Prayer.

It just saddens me to see this happening over there. I know Israel is really a very strong country and it could defend itself from surrounding Arab countries. I just hope that the conflict could be solved once and for all. It is hard when the conflict on lands really is the one that they are fighting over.

That is wishful thinking. The conflict will never be resolved. It is not a simple fight over real estate, it's a war deeply-rooted.

Hamas unleashed some three thousand rockets indiscriminately over cities in Israel. The supplies came from Iran. The Palestinians in Gaza reportedly do not even support Hamas. But the internet is filled with impassioned stories of Palestinians marginalized. This is a jihad used by terrorists.
Yes, this is disgraceful.

Revelation from the Bible had revealed itself already plus this pandemic.

Glad you have acknowledged that. It's not just another year of disasters. It's living Revelation. We need to disseminate the Gospel. Imperative upon us Christians.

The conflict has been a continuing saga. Ceasefire was implemented but the opponents were at it again in no time. That has been the history of Israel. Very sad.

Yes, the Jews and the Muslims are at war.
The other religion that springs its roots on the parentage of Abraham is Christianity.
Thus far, it has been two millenniums now since the dwelling of the Messiah on earth. Biblical prophecy incudes what is happening right now.
