Have no idea what I want to eat for dinner

It's Saturday night and I have no idea what I want to eat for dinner.
This will make it harder to pick a place to dine at tonight.
And will probably take more time as well as we usually look at menus before we settle on a place.
I hope the restaurant(s) we decide to go to will have tables available.
I think we should call to reserve a table before we go anywhere, just in case.
And if reservations are not accepted—some restaurants don't—I at least want to know if they have tables available and/or how long the wait may be.

Are there still Covid restrictions in place for restaurants? In Florida, all mandated restrictions have been lifted, but many restaurants have decided to continue operating at reduced capacity for the time being. Thankfully, I haven’t had any trouble or long wait times to get seated at restaurants.

@lovebuglena Pretty soon it’s not going to matter anymore, as just about everyone is dropping their mask requirements.

@moffittjc Seems like masks will still be required in indoor settings in NYS but seems only if you are not vaccinated. Are they gonna just take a customer's word for it that they are vaccinated or will they require proof that they are vaccinated?
But also, vaccinated people can still have covid and spread it to others so it makes no sense that they do not need a mask and unvaccinated do.

This place we went to has a restaurant, a lounge, and a tiki bar. We ate at the tiki bar, which was outdoors. We did not have to wear any masks. Don't remember if the waiter had a mask on or not.
But it seems that restaurants still require you to wear masks unless you are sitting at the table eating, which makes no sense to me. It's like is covid not spreadable when we are at the table chewing and spreadable all other times?
The gastropub we went to the week before had a sign that said masks required when standing.
I don't think we are at 100% capacity yet. I think it's 75% now.

We ordered a dish of short rib rolls. There were two big rolls with short rib inside. And they came with a side of thick cut fries. Delicious.
We also ordered a platter that had a green salad, hummus, and lavash chips to dip into it. That was pretty good.
And for dessert we had an espresso cake and a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. They were so so good, especially the chocolate lava cake.

@RebeccasFarm I was glad that we got to go where we wanted and didn't have to drive around looking for a place that had a table available.

I don't blame you. I don't dine out very often, and that's always important to consider when going out for a face-to-face dining experence.

I typically dine out with hubby on Saturday and that's it. Kinda like a date night. Though after we come back from the restaurant he goes to sit in his car for a while.

@kaylachan He always sits in his car usually. Often enough right after coming home from work before he actually walks into the house and after dinner as well. I guess it is his "me" time but I am not a fan of that. Especially when he sits in his car for a while before coming in after he gets home from work.

It was fairly easy to figure out what to order. Maybe because their menu was not huge.

Yes, for a while already. Many never closed. They just had takeout only and no indoor or outdoor seating. Then they transitioned to takeout and outdoor seating but now they have indoor dining as well. And they are now at 75% indoor capacity. Before it used to be 25% only.

@lovebuglena I understand. Until recently, all restaurants were closed here, now everything is open again.

Yes better to book the table in advance. As for here hotels aren't servicing and we are only allowed take aways or home delivery

Restaurants have been VERY crowded lately as more and more people feel comfortable eating out.

There are times when hubby and I spend about a half and hour or so just deciding what place to go to for dinner since we look for places on yelp and then look at each place's menu before making a choice.
