I can change department but...

Got a call from work today. Apparently I passed the interview and they would like me to start tomorrow. Unfortunately, my department still doesn't have my replacement. Therefore my boss refuse to sign my transfer. Some might think it's crazy for me to suddenly change department when I already spend six years here. At some point, me too But I want to improve myself. It might help me in the future as well. I should get out of my comfort zone. Wonder what's going to happen tomorrow. I can sense chaos building up.

Thanks! I try not to hope so much. Less likely I'll be disappointed if it's not happening.

I can but I don't think the other department is willing to wait for me. Just like my department requires my replacement, they also want a replacement for the position I'm going to fill.

Is your department going to change at the same office/ organization? Nonetheless, change is spice of life and it is always better to get a change. It will surely help you improve yourself and you will get to learn new things. I am sure that you will be able to cope up with the new challenge. All the best.

It's the right time to change your department before you get typed for the job. I have always asked my boss to give me a job rotation so that I may learn things about all departments which will definitely give me more job opportunities.

Yes that's true but I think you should wait for the replacement first before you move to another department but all in all you have the decision to make and to know what's best for yourself. As for me I wish the best in your endeavors. Have a nice day
