A day of drama

I was hoping I could get a conclusion today on whether I could my department or not. Unfortunately, my boss denied my transfer unless he got a replacement for me. He even told the other department's boss that as well.
I can feel the other's boss getting annoyed with this.
Well, whatever happens will happen. If I could not change my department, then I'll stay here while trying to do something that doesn't require me to work here in more years to come. If I do get to transfer, then it's really good. I can learn new thing and improve my skill. I'm not going to worry myself too much on this issue.
Life is all about improving yourself and keep on going. You'll just need to find a way to do that.

I can understand it happens between departments but when there is someone who can handle your work then you can transfer

@prinzcy yup.
Although, some unscrupulous companies are taking advantage of desperate people who want to get a job.

The big thing is making it so you are never stuck doing something you do not want to do. It is the basis, a lot of the time, for my constant desire to accumulate and save money. Besides considering retirement, I also like to have freedom to choose. If I need the paycheck, it limits what I can do. If I DON'T need the paycheck and can afford to take a different path...
This is extremely comforting, and it puts the power back in your corner. I like having the ability to tell my boss to pound sand any time I so desire.

@prinzcy If you can learn about investing, it can provide a very nice income. Dividends and interest can provide handsomely, but it does take time to accumulate enough and of course learn the ropes so that you don't simply lose all of your money.

In my opinion it's better to just stay at your job for as long as they don't power trip or abuse you or something. it's the pandemic and jobs are really scarce now a days.
