I have not witnessed such a cyclone in my lifetime or heard about it from our elders. It lasted for 4 days leaving behind trail of destruction. It uprooted trees and electricity poles, damaged houses damaged electrical installations like transformers as a result the region was out of power for 4 days from 15 to 18. We got it at 5 p.m. on 18th some got earlier and some are yet to receive it. It will take days to restore the damage. The cyclone developed in Arabian sea off the coast of Kerala moved Northeast wards affecting states of Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat. It got weakned after that and moved to Rajasthan. It has claimed at least 13 lives and damaged properties worth millions of Rupees. The cyclone further ravaged the area already battered by coronavirus pandemic. Region is worst affected by the pandemic also. We only hope the sufferings of the people will end with this.

Monsoon originates in Indian Ocean down south and moves upwards in North India affecting the weather there where as cold wave in winter originates in Himalayas and moves down south affecting the weather there.
