Health Journey 2021?

Next week I am really going to try to get back on track. I know I keep saying that, and I keep failing...but I need to try to stick to it better.
Oh, what track am I talking about? My diet/way of eating/life style...whatever you choose to call it.
Going to try to make it as easy/simple as I can. Going in slowly didn't help because if I had carbs, I couldn't just stop at 45...or whatever number I chose.
So, going to try to limit to no more than 50 total carbs a day, but only about half of that in net carbs (so 25).
Going to try to have a Keto Chow shake every day for one meal. There is a caramel macchiato flavor I want to try....so deciding whether to get a sample to try, or the whole bag. A whole bag is a better deal, because the sample is $5 without shipping and the whole bag is $75 without shipping. You get 21 meals out of the big bag.
I will allow keto baked goods, keto bread, low carb wraps, etc...for now....but work on finding better alternatives....I just need to get past the first few weeks then that will be easier.
I will also get back into working out...but I don't want to do it until my sugars drop some.
I also need to look into get a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) so I can test the foods I eat much better.
Anyways....just wanted to update and let anyone interested know where I am with this journey.

@DocAndersen It just totally sucks! If I didn't have it I would probably just eat whatever I want (although then I'd be hundreds of pounds probably)

We all have favorite foods and it's hard to change our ways. For years, with all the kids home I cooked constantly, they ate such massive quantities of foods and usually there were extra people to feed. But it was fun. Now it's mostly just myself most of the time, so I try to make small meals for just me. I am thankful for a freezer to put extra meals in for another day, so that helps. Eliminating most processed foods has helped me immensely.

@MarieCoyle That's good you are not very picky. I don't eat fruits or vegetables (besides apples and potatoes). I like some processed cheese, and will never give up my zero sugar sodas. But going to try to give up the potatoes, breads, pastas...etc

Well it is even harder when you are a picky eater and don't have many choices of foods you can eat. That's good to try to make small meals now...and for the freezer. I can't get rid of all processed foods....but I do need to get rid of the high carb stuff.

@MommyOfEli2013 I don't know if there are many of us in the US that can totally get rid of processed foods, as they are everywhere. I have gotten a lot of them out of my regular meals. I'm not picky, never have been, there are only a few foods I really don't care for or can't tolerate. I truly don't like processed cheeses or sodas, so that's good. Carbs are always hard to resist, especially if they are extra good, like homemade bread. So I do get that, for sure.

I'd probably get the sample one, and then get the whole bag later if I liked it. You don't want to be stuck with a whole bag of something that you can't stand, and then it didn't save money.
Do you watch any Kristi Davis YouTube videos? She does a lot of reviews on keto foods and "what I eat in a day" videos and such. She even has a Facebook group.
Hi, I'm Kristi. Welcome to my channel. My channel is all about keto & weight loss for the every day person. You won't see me running 12 miles a day or watch me preach to you about a clean or strict diet. I talk about my struggles, my failures and how ive l

I ordered the full bag, I am sure I will like this flavor. Some other Youtubers I watch (2 krazy ketos) created the flavor. Going to make more than just the shakes with it too.
Oh yeah, I watch her all the time, I'm even in her group!
