Do you believe in superstitions?

Hey my lotters hope you all are doing good. Today's weather is a bit sunny and today I was thinking about some superstitious stuffs I don't know if they are real or not. Thats why I thought to ask you all about this. There are so many people who believe in superstitions in india and even my mom also believe in some superstitions too. what do you guys think about it ??

I am not really a superstitious person but some people are and their superstitions can be very weird.

I don't believe in superstitions, but I know our local superstitions pretty well because my grandmother was extremely superstitious. She told me which things to avoid, but I don't really believe that those things bring bad luck.

I don't believe but sometimes situation is such that we need to believe although there is nothing to believe

Hi and welcome to mylot.
I looked up the definition of superstition and here's what I found:
'a widely held but unjustified belief in supernatural causation leading to certain consequences of an action or event, or a practice based on such a belief'
So, it may be that many people believe something, but it is not based on facts or evidence.
It is easy to fall into such thinking because a lot of people assimilate the concepts they grew up with.
Even so called educated people believe things or behave in a way that betrays belief in things that are not based on reason.
