Life and Death has acquired a new meaning over the past one year with even those at the pink of health becoming vulnerable, victim, of the pandemic. Death is certain after birth but its time is not in our hands unless we choose to jump the gun like very few do. Life is for living and death for dying. We know what life is about, but what about death? None has come back to tell the tale after turning tail here leaving memories in a few that fade away faster as the generations roll by. The mighty us are easy prey to an invisible virus that has too many weapons in its armory. We find many experts and vaccines but the enemy is still alive and kicking. If we know what death is, then we can get over the uncertainty, fear, and even welcome it with open arms. If it is better than life, what the fuss is for? However, our creator keeps us guessing about the outcome, end game. Life and Death – the twain shall never meet is the refrain. Are they like chalk and cheese? Are we in for a thriller that we can never even dream of? Or is it a damp squib? We will forever dream on. My take is to hope for the best and be prepared for the worst. Hoping is for better things to come and to be prepared is to do whatever I can before it is all over here bar the shouting! Hearing is widely thought to be the last sense to go in the dying process. So I will hear the last hurrah from this wonderful life as I sign, take off. Hope I am realistic in my hopes and aspirations. Just food for thought. Life and Death Image from free media site Pexels

One thing is certain and that is we all will die one day and as you have rightly said the time and date is not known. I would rather say we should be prepared for that date and time without leaving any problems for those who are left behind.

Yeah, the best way could be to just fade away ever so slowly so that our departure is just a blip in their lives. Think of me at my best and please forget warts and all - is my humble request.

The passage we have to take the path between the two is one that we do not know how to navigate until we arrive.

There are many a false step and a few decisions can make or mar our lives. And who we meet also matters as that can change our fortunes not only money-wise.

There's the small deaths, the letting go as a person ages. I no longer am capable of riding a bike or a horse. I still am quite able to thank the Creator for another sunrise, though. Thanks for the thoughtful post.

Thanks. Yes, we know what this life is about with warts and all. The unknown is a mystery causing misery to us at times, if not all the time!

we don't know how this life will end. that's where the game lies, this world is a game and a joke so don't be in a hurry to die many people who are proud of their lives in luxury, physically healthy, many descendants. I don't think we should boast about it, because our bodies are even prone to getting sick and being crushed with just one hit and falling from heights and accidents. in fact we are helpless against viruses that are even too small to be seen with our eyes
