Crimson Crepe Myrtle Has New Growth

Finally one of the crepe myrtle trees is starting to sprout leaves. This one is on the side of the house and gets the morning sun. Seems very happy there.
It will grow to the roof each year. Then we cut it back in late fall. Returns every year, bigger each year. The crimson red blooms are amazing to see. This tree comes in many varieties of colors. And you can also get the bush that is a smaller size.
The young ones planted a few years ago are also doing well in the yard. They will all bloom from about July until late September.
Snapped this photo to show the early growth. A sign of hope for sure.
