In 1961 The Temperance Seven got to number one on the UK singles chart with You're Driving Me Crazy' This would turn out to be their only UK number one singles.
In 1967 Procol Harum was at number one on the UK singles chart with "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" The first video for this song was filmed at the ruins of Witley Court in Worcestershire, England.
In 1968 Simon and Garfunkel were at number one on the US album chart for the second time with Bookends. The album featured four US singles 'A Hazy Shade of Winter', 'At the Zoo', 'Fakin' It' and 'Mrs Robinson'.
In 1974 Rick Wakeman became the first member of the group Yes to score a number one album on the UK album chart with Journey To The Center Of the Earth
In 1985 Dire Straits were at number one on the UK album chart for the second time with Brothers In Arms. The album won two Grammy Awards and Best British Album at the 1987 Brit Awards
