Will there be sunlight after the dawn?

Sunshine has been elusive!
An army of negative thoughts,
a field of poisonous weeds
has invaded my emotional horizon.
The battle for peace has been fought
but the victory is seemingly beyond reach.
How does one maintain hope
during such a tretherous and
exhausting war?
