Good morning Friday...a quick Hi... yummy breakfast..

Good morning Friday from this side of the planet It's 10AM here and I would just take a short morning break and mylot for a while.
We woke up to a clear sky after a long time. So I witnessed the sunrise after a week or more It's bright, sunny and there is pleasant breeze. A perfect day for laundry And so I am already done with two loads of laundry and they are out basking in sun.
It's been five hours since I woke up and lot has been done. All cooking, cleaning, my morning yoga and Pranayam are done. Since it was good sun outside, I changed the bedsheets of two rooms and washed them. Other two rooms can be done on weekends. If the sun continues like this and the clothes out dry, I might wash curtains of my bedroom. Feels like a lot accomplished
Now time to catch some breath.
You can see my yummy, healthy and filling breakfast in picture. It was raagi ( a millete) paratha with lots of chopped onions, green chillies and coriander leaves in dough. We had it with green chutney and curd. This green chutney is made from raw mango, ginger garlic, chillies and mint leaves.
Raagi is a good source of protein, calcium and dietary fibers. And it keeps you full for long. We might miss our mid morning snacks and have only some milkshake for lunch. Well, I have cooked kadhai paneer ( cottage cheese in thick gravy with onions and bell peppers) and made dough for chapati. If we have appetite for lunch we will have it else it can be used for dinner.
Now let me be here for a while and then I will head for cleaning my microwave and one drawer
Have a good time in your mylot corner

Good morning. It is just passed midnight, so it's Friday here, too.
It sounds like you've done enough work for all day already. You should sit in your garden and relax the rest of your day.

@arunima25 Oh, yes, I was reading a little bit ago about a black fungus that is attacking some Indian people. I don't want you to get that, so yes, avoid your garden for now. Just admire it through the windows.
I take naps at various times during the day since I don't sleep well at night.
I hope you've had a very nice day.

@DaddyEvil Yes, it is attacking people with low immunity and those with high sugar are an easy target. My husband keeps sharing the pictures from my garden.. And it has become a beautiful jungle garden. We had few days of rain and they have made all the weeds flourish
It is good that you can take few naps and catch up with your sleep. We need adequate hours of eye shut. I sleep around 10-10:30 and sleep uninterrupted till 5-5:30 in the morning, I take 45 minutes to an hour nap in the late afternoon.
It's Friday afternoon and we always look forward for Friday evening. Weekend mood sets in

My mornings are most productive time of the day. I am a morning person. So I try to do as much as I can in the first half of the day. After lunch lethargy creeps in and then I come to cyberspace to keep myself awake for some time before my afternoon nap
I am avoiding going to garden and gardening as my doctor has advised to stay away from it for few months. Cases of fungus infection in post covid patients are increasing and garden is a good source for that. So, just avoiding my beautiful garden for some months.

Thank You. My regular mornings are like that. I wake up at 5 and I am most active and productive in the first half of the day. Post lunch I get slow and then I come to cyberspace.

LOL
Well, post-lunch the food gets heavy and it's almost unbearable for us people to move.
I understand your situation.
Same with me after lunch it's almost impossible for me to get anything done.

@Prabhatsingh For me my heaviest meal is breakfast. I don't take much for lunch or dinner. Today as we had such heavy breakfast, I had only a glass of mango shake for lunch.
By the time it is lunchtime, I would have worked hours doing chores and my online classes if school is open. So, I am totally exhausted. I just come to cyberspace for some time so that I can stay awake for few hours before I take a nap in late afternoon.
Many people take a heavy lunch and feel tired after that.

Good afternoon. It is 1.30 in the afternoon of Saturday at the moment. I missed this post yesterday although I was comparatively busy on the forum yesterday. It appears monsoon has begun here with cool winds blowing across and drizzling on and off. Hope you had a nice day so far. Enjoy the rest of the day.

@arunima25 You have to forget about the money due against your name in such case. I have missed my payout this month also although by a fraction of a cent.

@msdivkar I go through that kind of mood every now and then. And I think that is okay to take some break from here too from time to time.
My whole vacation passed in getting sick and recovering from the virus.

It is yummy for us as we have developed taste for it. But many do not like the taste of raagi or any other millet. So it is a matter of choice. How about you? Do you use raagi or other millets?

Raagi is a healthy source. However, we don't make Raagi parantha here. We love kadhai paneer and we sometimes make it at home or order it.
You could have some Kadhair Panner sent to me, as I love it. .
We had aloo ka parantha in breakfast with milkshake.

@arunima25 Yes, you are right that aloo parantha with milk shake is rich diet and if you happen to take it, it could shoot your sugar level. Yes, you are wise that you do not take them together and try to do some cardio to burn the calories.
Would be happy even with visual treat of Kadai paneer.
It is not so popular here in Delhi, however, some people take it. I understand that if you cook raagi parantha, it is to be consumed hot, otherwise it will not taste good?

@dpk262006 Yes, raagi meals are to be taken hot else it gets a bit soggy and chewy.
I do all that I can to keep a good control on my sugar.
I got too busy to post that picture. So I deprived you of the visual treat
Anyway my daughters are demanding for it again and I may be cooking it soon. I will try to post it then.

WOW! Aloo paratha with a milkshake. That makes my mouth water. Bu having them together in one day will shoot my sugar. I take them on two different days or two different meals on the same day if I get to burn all calories through a good cardio workout.
I will try to make a post of my dinner tonight and share the picture of the kadhai paneer. I can just give you a visual treat.
Raagi si quite common in South India especially in Karnataka. You can call it their staple food in Karnataka. My husband is from Bihar and there too it is quite popular. We love it but many do not like the taste of raagi or any millets.

I never skip a meal. I had a glass of mango Shake and that was filling.

That's my routine on regular days. I am a morning person and try to do most of the things in morning. My energy and motivation goes down as day passes.
Raagi is a millet that is brown and looks like mustard seeds. We make flour out of it and that flour is used to make dough here.

Sounds like a very productive day. You really have accomplished a lot mam. your breakfast looks so delicious.
As you said , it is very good for health and we take ragi porridge sometimes and my mom makes a very similar kind of dish called Ragi Adai. I'm not very sure whether the one in the picture is what I'm referring to...

@arunima25 haha...I understand...but even in ragi porridge they add onions and chillies to make it a bit tasty and spicy. But I don't like when they add green chillies.
Not really busy mam...but to be honest I don't have the zeal to be active here. Some days, I just login, read few posts and logout without responding ..and few other days I be very active....so it depends... actually!.
How are you ma'am??
