Do shops in your place are open on Sundays?

Stores are open every day of the year except for Christmas itself... And some are open that day, too.

We used to have what are colloquially known as “blue laws” or ‘Sunday closing laws” in the United States, where it was more or less mandated that places HAD to be closed on Sunday. (In fact, in the early 60s a Jewish shop owner unsuccessfully challenged the law, stating that it was “establishment of religion” to force him to close on Sunday when his weekly Sabbath was the Biblical one!). Now, the only places that are closed on Sundays are the Christian-owned places like Chick Fil-A and Hobby Lobby (chains of chicken fast food restaurants and hobby stores, respectively). It’s personal discretion (I ate at a barbecue place in South Carolina that was closed on Sunday) now, not a law.

During the normal times, shops remain open on Sunday here. However, there is lock down in our city, therefore markets are closed, except for shops selling grocery and essential items.

Malls are open. I think public markets are not I guess

I have not made any update for now. But I have heard that they will close on weekends, but have yet to check. We are an hour away from the city.

Good morning to you too. Yeah, we have supermarkets open every day of the week. Monday to Sunday. but due to lockdowns, they are allowed to open only from Monday to Friday that too for a very limited time now.

I can only think of a few small shops that are actually closed on Sundays . . . other than that almost all are open on Sundays. There was a time in my childhood that most stores were not open on Sundays.

Everything is open on Sunday. It's good the shops there are closed on Sunday.

Here in the United States almost every business is open 7 days a week. There are exceptions of course. But this is mostly the way it is here. Time is money, and most people shop on weekends anyway. It's the bread and butter for business, so of course they are open for business.

Traditional shops and markets are open every day and serve the sale and purchase of basic necessities and vegetables

The shops here is open everyday, even on Friday, our weekend. So no problem to shop.

I live in Vegas and stores are open every Sunday unless it’s a holiday or something like that

We have stores that are open 24 hours a day, everyday, and others that are also open everyday and stay open late, like till 10, some close a little earlier. I lived in a town years ago where shops were closed on Sunday and a lot of shops closed early on other days, like I think at 6 or maybe a little later.

Most supermarkets are opened here, but most shops are closed or close early.
