Side effects of having a doctor friend during the pandemia.

Good morning, friends. Today I have spent a long time searching for a prescription that Humberto sent to Tania some time ago. My eldest daughter has had skin problems since she was a baby. And now, with the extra amount of washing and the extra use of chlorine and other similar liquids her hands are a mess. Humberto sent her a prescription some time ago for a cream to wear for 5 days before going to sleep (no hand washing) but my daughter decided to search for natural products. These did not work. And while some are very good, others are absolutely fake. So now her hands are worse and I had to send her the prescription again. And I had to search all over my cellphone until I found it. I hope she buys it and uses it. And I hope she uses gloves when she washes dishes. Detergents can be very harsh. Are you having any special health problems due to the pandemia?

I'm sorry her hands are so bad from washing them so often with this pandemic. I hope she uses the cream and they get better.

She has always had very sensitive skin. When she was a baby she always had diaper rash even though I changed her a lot and rinsed the diapers many times.

My family had skin issues well before the pandemic . . . so we've always used mild soaps and fragrance/dye-free detergents. We have always tried to use the least amount of chemical things as possible. We weren't agreeable to over sanitizing during this pandemic, so it's mostly been soap and water whenever possible. Right - chemicals can be very harsh - so many of my friends have had to deal with crumbling palms!!

I hope she does too. Some conditions have to be checked by doctors.

Maybe it comes from washing it too often. My skin doctor made me use a soft glycerine soap only once a day at the most.

I am facing the same issue. Too much of washing and cleaning makes my skin very dry. I put cetaphil cream twice. Just now I put some before coming to bed. And I contracted the virus in April. Still can feel some tiredness at times. Hope the cream works for her.

I decided that as nothing seems to stop the virus, I´d use common sense only. I leave my groceries out of the house for a couple of days before taking them into the house.

@marguicha Yes, Better to take all precautions that we know of. With new theories and speculations coming out every day, the virus is becoming more mysterious each day.

I too suffer from dry skin, but that's been an ongoing issue that doesn't really bother me. I haven't incressed hand washing, because I know that doesn't do any good. All it does is irriate your skin more. I'm not stupid. You've given her the tools. It's up to her to use them.

I agree. If using so much detergent had deleted the covid, we would not have it any longer.

My eldest daughter had diaper rash when she was a bay. Later on, I had to go with her to buy clothes as some of them would itch. Some skins are very sensitive.
