And say, ‘Thus says the king, “Put this fellow in prison and feed him meager rations of bread and water, until I come in peace.
----------1 Kings 22:27 ESV
I've been thinking a lot lately about my friends who will be going to prison soon. Donny, Ivanka, Donny Jr., Eric, Matt, Melania, Rudy and many others.
Well, some of them might be able to avoid actual prison by cutting a deal to sell out the others but home confinement is very much like prison.
I've also been thinking about how things used to be. When prison was often just the mild opening act for a much wilder headliner. Do remember Isaiah 24:22 ESV? "They will be gathered together as prisoners in a pit; they will be shut up in a prison, and after many days they will be punished."
Most of the time, I'm OK with progress but once in a while, I wish we'd do things the old-fashioned traditional way. For special cases.
~~~AMEN~~~
I hope they assign him to a housekeeping job. I find the thought of a germophobe like him scrubbing prison toilets oddly satisfying for some reason.
A lot of us have been shut up in our homes for a long time now. With plenty to do, it's not so bad. *shrug* I don't consider it a patch on prison, though.
I didn't see it as a prison, either. And I'm stuck in this tiny little 458 room shack on this miniature 50,000-acre estate.
@DaddyEvil Well, for them, it's paradise. Better than paradise.
@xander6464 Yes, I can understand that. It's a shame all your servants are immured there with you, though. I'm sure, to them, it's worse than being in prison.
