It took forever to soften

I'm boiling chicken right now. It's chewy so you can't just cook it like regular chicken meat that you buy from the market. Since Mom slaughtered 3 chickens, it would be a while before we use them all. I might be doing this every night. I have no idea what to do with the chicken tomorrow. Would it be good if I grilled them afterwards? Hmmm....

It may toughen again if you grill it?

I thought about that too. But I just want a crispy skin so fast grill will do I guess.

I put tough chicken in the pressure cooker. They must be older birds. I then mince the meat and use it for other dishes. The broth is a lot better than the broth of the chicken from the supermarket. And they are not full of hormones

Sadly I don't have pressure cooker. I'll make do with what I have, which is rice cooker It's way slower.

It tastes good if you add some species while boiling or cooking

I already did that. That way, I'm hoping it would be like prepping the chicken.

I would try it and see how it turns out. It can't hurt to try it. You could bake it after boiling it. I like to put chicken in the oven covered with mushroom soup and veggies. Bake until the veggies are done and the chicken should be falling apart by then. (I also do this using Cheddar Cheese soup. Both are really good.)

I already boiled them with spices and sauces. I am going to continue boiling until the water reduce and then I'll grill them. Would be a good experiment too.

@prinzcy Yes, I always boil with spices... That gives it a good flavor, even if I decide not to do anything else with it. Please let us know how it turns out.

Doesn’t boiling the chicken take out the flavor?

What if I add some ingredients in the water so the chicken would be boiled with it? Will it works like that?
