Not Her Best

The Ice Princess had her first competition as an Intermediate level US figure skater. My daughter-in-law only told me that it wasn’t her best skate.
She did receive her second Pfizer shot earlier that day and has had no reactions thank goodness!
Then she went off to one of many Bat Mitzvah parties.
Kids! So happy and carefree!

It isn't important what her placement was. As long as she is enjoying it and having fun--that is all that is important. My cousin was on the path to super-high skating status and she just burned out. She trained with Michelle someone (Kwan???) who did get to the Olympics. My cousin gave it up way before that. It wasn't enjoyable for her.

@kobesbuddy I agree. Every skater has good and bad days. Even her coaches had them. She learns from watching her videos. Besides, she just learned most of these new moves. It’s all good.

@DianneN All skaters do this. So they can correct their own mistakes and learn from them:)

Not a big deal, she will do better next time, and if she doesn't, so what, she is a kid. This isn't her job.

Her first competition in the Intermediate would not be easy, next time it will be just like walk in the part for her.

She is very busy. Also first time at the level. Some of it might have been nerves.

It's good she had the second shot; at least have protection from that virus from China!

She will have good and bad days; but she has accomplished so much to be at the Intermediate level! I'm glad she had her second COVID-19 shot without any ill effects. Have a good week.

Wow! At such a young age, her effort was very good. How can she be perfect without having good and bad experiences. I am sure one day she will definitely be successful and popular
