For the first time I have had to manage household chores and garden without help almost for a month. It did depress me somewhat. Everything is back to normal now but I have aches and pains all over my body they are refusing to go. I consulted my doctor and he has prescribed an anti depressant. I checked the Net and was shocked how depression can lead to aches and pains
Why is it that so many people with depression are never identified as having the condition, while about half of those who are diagnosed fail to improve with medications proven to be effective? New research shows the explanations may be in their initial sym

That's shocking on how depression can lead to aches and pains , but why did the doctor prescribed anti-depressant to you ? Are you into depression because you have to manage all the chores without any help all these days ? or else the aches and pains are age related?

He has been my doctor for years and that tablet could have other benefits. I have trust in this doctor. My sister who was waiting for results would visit the toilet any number of times and now I understand that.

@prashu228 It is more to do with anxiety. I am not a candidate for depression but even anxiety can result in physical aches and pains

Depression is no doubt a harsh word but I know this will not last as normally I am a happy person and this situation was thrust on me all of a sudden. It was not easy.

Depression is real, have time to talk to someone when you feel down and oppress, don't let those emotions overtake you, meditate and take rest. Whenever your down always remember that you have your family, relatives and friends, you can always lean on them. Take care and stay safe.

I am a regular stroller in my garden. I do Reiki and pranayama too. But this last one month handling so much was too much for me - something I never did before.
