I was sipping my first cup of coffee this morning when I heard, "Who you up there with, b*tch?" I looked out my window and saw a tallish black male, perhaps in his 40s, looking up at an apartment from the parking lot. He repeated his words several times, and then advanced on the apartment, saying "Why you naked? You wanna fight?" At that point, I called 911 to let them know what was going on.
This apartment complex is really quiet. As I've mentioned before, there are a lot of young Indian families here, and I am not used to people assaulting each other verbally here.
I did a little "math," and realized that the apartment that he was looking up at was Horse Jr.'s old place. I checked their parking space, and sure enough, there's a new car there, a nice white sedan with personalized plates. I reckon I have a new neighbor. I did her hear voice, but couldn't hear what she was saying.
By the time the Sheriff did a couple of loops around the complex, he was gone. Interestingly, his car was also quite nice, a neon blue sedan of some sort. I hope my new neighbor is not a "drama magnet." I like the peace and quiet and friendly neighbors around here.

@Writingghost The dispatcher was understanding about mental illness issues, etc. The police around here are to becommended. But I hope the guy just gets the help he needs and fades into the sunset as far as this place is concerned.

Perhaps the police will have just the right tone to make it all work.

@allen0187 Some people seem to thrive on drama. I am not among them. I asked my dad why soap operas were so stupid when I was five.

Maybe the Indians pony knows are sweet and nice people? After all, they can't all be terribly vicious Vampire Queens, you know.

@1creekgirl He is living with his mom in North Carolina. He is addicted to the internet, like many 12-year-olds.

That sort of thing is always disturbing and you never know when it will escalate into gunfire in today's world.

Stuff like that is pretty scary. Where I used to live in the DC burbs..one time someone probably his wife or something locked a guy out of the townhouse. He was pounding on the door at like 6AM making really guttural sounds. It was frightening honestly. I lived down the block and I still heard him. I think the police were eventually called.

Gosh, that must have been a scary experience for you. I don't know what I would have done in that situation. Glad no one was hurt.
