What made you leave mylot?

When I joined myLot long back there used to many mylotters who were active here. We used to have lots of interaction through our comments/ responses with each other. With the passage of time many left the site and they are nowhere to be seen.
There was a phase few years ago, when myLot stopped paying for our participation on the site. Majority of mylotters left the site, when it stopped paying.
However, even when the payout system was restarted many old mylotters did not join. I kept wondering what could be the reason that old mylotters are not interested in the site are not active here?
Also, did you leave the site for many months/years and then you rejoined it?
Your take on it.

It's because they changed their earning algorithm I guess. They used to pay for what we used to type but when they restarted paying they have started paying for the interactions we receive. Also there were many other features like the rating system and star reputation, rewards for the search, tasks which are not there in the new mylot. That may be the reason they have not come back as they didnt like the latest version.

I was not a fan of tasks, but to each their own. Those were my days of myLot addiction, and I was high on interactions

@sjvg1976 Aha, I remembered the avatar right! Last activity is from February...
Somehow I recall her and HWG together. They were "new" in my book.

Mylot is my diary. I wrote everything which I don't tell anyone.
I'll always on mylot till my last breathe.

Most of what I wanted to say I already did in JJ's box.
Nothing ever made me leave myLot. I was not happy when many left after it stopped paying. Still kept checking for the stubborn friends. Actually, there are four people... as long as they are here, I am not leaving either. One might have left.
I had a closed circle, kind of. If an old lotter joins, I may recognize them by id but otherwise I have no clue which ones didn't return.

I am one of the members who left the mylot and joined back. I had left well before they stopped paying and main reason was I had no more interest in whatever I was doing. In between the management accused me of plagiarism which they reverted later on. I knew that was to develop an interest in me to be more active on the site. I think members loose interest because they do same thing again and again. There is no innovation.

@msdivkar- Oh! I see you left the site because you were accused of plagiarism. It is not in good taste if it happened with you.
Yes, you are right that until and unless there is something innovative in site and some changes, things get repetitive and boring.

I left for about two years because I was tutoring English to international students. I came back recently.

@vandana7 I still do that, but it is a thing that usually it is for only a day or two. There was no filming last year really.

It is understandable that when myLot stopped paying you left the site, like many others. However, you rejoined it, when it started paying.

@vandana7 I'm sorry... I'm too sweet and innocent to be your friend. You'd corrupt me in hours, if not in minutes.

Have you met any new friends since you returned to myLot? If not, maybe I can help you look for someone who won't mind a crazy lady as their friend. I admit, it won't be easy, though... You may have to give me years to look for and find someone suitable...

I never left this place even when they did not pay. But since the field was empty there was no point then to continue.

I know you are here for pretty long time and you did not leave the site. Yes, I agree with you that when mylot stopped paying, there was no point continuing. However, during that phase, I used to check discussions and would tell the new mylotters that the site has stopped paying.

@dpk262006 There was hardly anyone there at that time and I therefore thought there was no point in continuing

I never left mylot , but yes when it stopped paying was not active as i used to be. I like the old version of mylot for sure and the payout used to be ten dollars not five if i remember properly.
Then many of the friends left and even i got busy with my job and all, but used to peep in sometimes when i received notifications .

It is quite possible that some of the users did not find the site, as they might have expected and as they wanted, therefore, they left the site to look something better. May be they are working on some other sites to earn or for their satisfaction.

@dpk262006 I think that myLot sent an email when they restarted paying users to the old ones.

Welcome back. You left the site because you did not find it user friendly and you had problems while working on the site. I hope by now you would have become accustomed to the set up and you face no problem while discussing matters here.

@dpk262006 might be but I didn't have such issue too as the site was showing error to appear on the screen. So I thought better to left than stuck.

Whenever a paying site stops paying, it suggests some mismanagement, and so people lose trust. That may be one reason some never returned. I was not here when it was a non-paying site so I have no idea. I do know that if the money stops, so do I, DESPITE the fact that I am here mostly for the fun.

I do not the exact reasons for doing away with the payment. May be some management issues were there. However, it started paying again, although lots have since changed and earnings are lesser. It is good to hear that you are here for fun rather than money.

@dpk262006 I don't know the whole back story, but I think the original people maybe sold the site, then took it back, but made changes to make a more sustainable pay program. @myklj999 could provide more insight and history.

I can understand that you left the site for personal reasons in between, however, you joined back so your period of absence is not that much important. There are many who once left the site and did not return.
Have a nice day.
Nice Profile picture.

When I joined here i was not very active as it seem..I have been absent for few months due to business but I did not consider myself leaving the site..
this site is one of the most positive site I have ever gone..
Not toxic at all, You can report people who you think that doesn't speak well or maybe abusive sometimes..
But I just joined last year so I guess the older mylotters have different feelings towards the new and older version of mylot

Your profile tells that you joined myLot some ten months ago. I understand that your business commitments were more important therefore, you remained absent from the site.
You are right that this is one of the best sites to interact and discuss. Everything here is user friendly, simple and appealing. Report option is also there, if you do not find any comment appropriate, you could report, in accordance with the guidelines.
It does not matter even if you are comparatively new here. If you write good responses and discussions, others will interact with you.

I don't really know about the old version of mylot, I'm a newcomer to the new version, I think my lot is a good website, I can communicate with people from all over the world. I never leave my lot it's just that sometimes I'm not online for a long time because of my busy life or my mood.

As you have recently joined the site, you might not be aware what was its old version. It is indeed one of the best sites to interact and to learn something.
It is understood that sometimes you are offline because of other commitments.
