Today is a quiet day

So far today is a quiet day. I have stuff to do that I do not want to do. Doing it anyway.
I got off the phone after confirming Angel's appointment to be spayed.
There are some appointments I need to cancel for myself. Some I need to double check for hubby.
Laundry is the usual.
Yesterday I was gone almost all day.
Mid morning my friend Jane and I visited here at the reservoir that is about halfway between our homes. No need to drive to a coffee shop every time.
When hubby and I were out it poured rain for about an hour. Not sure if it rained where we lived, but it sure rained where we drove.

@GardenGerty Sort of. It rained again while I was having my afternoon nap and when the sun came out, it was like that scene in Ray Bradbury's story "All Summer in a Day".
It sprinkled a bit after that, and then in the early evening we got a real gully washer for about ten minutes. (Thunder, too, but no lightning.)

People do not iron much here, at least not people I know. My mom used to take in ironing to earn a little money. I liked to iron when I was young. It would be a hot chore today.

@GardenGerty Oh, I never liked ironing. Here, ironing costs around 1.5 euros for an hour of ironing.

My laundry basket is empty. I’m going to relish these few hours before I start throwing things in it again.
