it's my son's "virtual" recognition today

As all of the school tasks these days are done virtually, here's another first for us.. A virtual recognition. I wasn't prepared for the background because I was advised the day before that we are going to use one background for uniformity. We tried solid colors as the zoom app says but it also suggests to use a green color. So there, my lovely blanket doing it's first virtual job. Whew this techie world is really taking over... What's up to you guys today? Hope you didn't have any virtual issues recently.

I think my son was the first batch that graduated virtually last year in his school. He graduated High School late last year. The school was waiting for an opening so they can hold the ceremonies face to face but the year pass by that there was no sign that the pandemic will be over so they decided to do it online. It was still done FB live back then since most were not aware of Zoom and could accommodate a limited number of audiences only. Now it is becoming common to everyone already.

@adnileb Indeed my son now is in his college years and they are still in the Lockdown scenario. I wanted him to experience college life on the campus of course. His first year is over and he is going on his second year already and there seem to be no signs the face to face school will be happening that soon.

it's like graduation.. but they will just be recognized for their academic excellence that's why they have recognition day.. but since it's still not possible to go to school, it's done virtually..

No, not really. I do have zoom on a couple laptops, but don't have much use for it.

Congratulations to your son! I’m grateful that I can turn my computer on and off. I’m technically challenged.

Well, now I have heard it all..."Virtual Recognition Day"? Crazy. I guess for those that have virtual school though, it's the only choice. I hope your son got recognized.
