Weird Facebook Friend Requests

Periodically I get these bizarre Facebook friend requests and my most recent one was from a "woman" whose profile picture makes it seem like she must be a model and she messaged me along with the request, telling me how she'd studied cosmetology and this and that kind of biographical information about herself and then she proceeds to ask me my age and what kind of job I have, etc. Oh, yeah, sure, I'm going to give a bunch of personal information to someone I've never met who is using a fake Facebook profile to probably use some kind of social engineering on me to hack me or rip me off. Sure, I'll go ahead and do that. And pigs might fly out of my BUTT!

Wow, you must have a very big butt. Just be careful. They are all scammers. I usually ignore those friend requests. It's just a waste of time entertaining them. I'd rather use my time for something else that is fruitful.

I like using the block feature on those type of requests. If I don't know them, I don't accept.

I am using fake Facebook profile too but I use it for work online. My work online is not much. I refer people on my BuzzBreak application. I add people on Facebook to be my friend so that I can refer them to my BuzzBreak application. If I want to make friends in more personal level, I will just use my original account on Facebook.

The spammer does not sound very creative in thinking up ways to convince you to give out private info.

Exactly. It's pretty lame really, not sure who would fall for it, though I realize some people are not too aware. But it makes me laugh pretty hard when I investigate and see how things on their profile don't make sense or jibe with what they are trying to portray in their messages. So badly done.

You could change your privacy settings in your FB page (if you have not done already). That way you won't get random requests like it.
