We have a new (to us) dining suite

Until yesterday, we were eating off a white plastic table as we sold the dining table from the other house. The one we sold seated eight people and was much too big for our down-sized new house. We hadn’t found a table that we liked until we saw one advertised on Gumtree, a buy and sell local website.
It looked ideal and was close by so we went to see it. We thought it was really very nice so bought it and four chairs. It is solid jarrah, a ‘red’ wood that is native to Western Australia and is in very good condition. We are really pleased with it and, being secondhand, it was much cheaper than a brand new suite.
We also spent two hours at Ikea today, and tomorrow a heap of flat packs will be delivered and soon after that, we’ll be busy assembling a big bookcase unit, two desks, desk chairs, a couple of small cupboards and a new wardrobe. I’ll have plenty to write about for a while.
In the meantime, here is a photo of the table and some of the chairs.
Edit: I forgot to say the table can be extended to seat six comfortably. There is only four chairs but we have other chairs Vin and I could use if we have six for a meal.

The table is gorgeous and looks like it's in perfect condition. Looks like the perfect size for your new home too.
I'm sure you'll be busy once the stuff arrives from Ikea.

@JudyEv even though it has a faint mark from a coffee cup it's still a gorgeous set. Hope you enjoy many happy meals on it

Reversed was the case in our life. We shifted from city life to a rsemi ural setting where as you know my dream house was constructed and this house is four times that of what we had in the city. Our dining table in the city could accommodate just 4 and so when guests arrived it was a buffet. Here we have a bigger one that can accommodate 6
What you see in the photo is that table that we brought down and was kept outside(Solitaire) and the one we now have that is inside

@JudyEv Thank you. I had this dream to create my own space for which we had to shift to a place where property is sold cheap and from then onI started my journey I do not have to depend on outsiders for my entertainment. My house, my garden,my pets and my online activity keeps me merrily on my toes. and fingers
