Have you gotten any great buys lately?

Jimbo's discussion got me thinking about if I have gotten any great buys lately. I am pretty pleased with the like new riding mower I got for 500..it even had some extras added to it. I got a huge thing of Lysol wipes (store brand) for about 3 bucks..that was good. Lidl and Aldi both had one pound bags of pretzels for .82. The wonderful pecan rolls that came from Publix are 6 and a huge cuke twice the size of normal was .75. I bought popcorn flavoring in a shaker for a buck at Dollar Tree, and it was almost 3 bucks at Walmart. Plus I have gotten some heavy duty ceramic mugs for a buck each there plus a lovely flag hat, and my croccs I have seen elsewhere for about 40 were 10, plus some good yardsale buys. Those are the only things I can think of at the moment..but I am a bargain shopper. Any buys that floated your acquistion therapy boat?

I'm a bargain shopper as well. I got some good deals on beef roasts and pork loin yesterday at the store. Before the sales and coupons were taking off the final price the bill was $180, after it was $120. I think that is a pretty good deal and our freezer is now stocked up which is a blessing.

That is awesome. Best to have that done now as the prices are likely to skyrocket. Fortunately, one of the stores here has excellent prices on meat, although they don't have everything. I noticed bacon at Food Lion was like 8 something a package.

@snowy22315 Yes the prices are skyrocketing so we try to stock up when we can. Last week it was chicken and fish.

@LadyDuck Yes, they are selling that all over the place here. I have had it in Japanese restaurants but only bought some home once, quite a while ago.

The other day we found a decent piece of red velvet cake - normally $3.99 - got it for 99 cents!

That is good! I bet the SF angel food cake would have been more than that at regular price. I could hardly believe it was .99.

We had Bryers ice cream on sale 4 for 10. That was worth buying 4 because the average price was almost $4 for one You got a lot of good bargains

@Marilynda1225 When I got my roof done it was like that. They charged way less than all the other estimates.

@snowy22315 I should have added my deck. The guys worked hard and I think it was worth more than they charged

I order a lot from Walgreen's, even boxes of kleenex, cereal and oatmeal. I get a lot of coupons there and usually $5.00 each order with my rewards card, and free shipping.

It's been a while since I've gone out and SEEN any deals (my roommate does all the shopping, mostly). She DID tell me about the bargain she found getting my SmartFlip (phone) - - where most of them were $50 - $100, she was able to find one for $20 or $25 ... tho there MAY be some 'programming' we have to do to tie it into the high-dollar network.

Oh Ok..I got a phone last month...which was a decent price, but I don't consider it to be a super deal. It was marked down though.

Yes, sometimes it is hard to find bargains, and at times if you find something cheap it is junk.
