Where Was The Last Place/s You Traveled To Before Quarantine/Lockdown Happened in 2020?

Hello everyone! Looks like we will all be able to travel a lot real soon! When? Well I don't really know yet. Here in the Philippines we can do inter-island travel of course but we need to get a negative RT-PCR test result first before we can go anywhere. (Aside from wearing face masks and face shields) It's such a hassle I know but that's the "new normal" these days. I was able to travel this year (last month) to Cebu (from Manila) after my ordeal with getting free RT-PCR tests. Thank God there are free tests otherwise who can travel in times like these? Of course I wouldn't have traveled if it wasn't necessary. Had to go there for training and since I was there I also was able to travel a bit to some of the tourist spots. Hurray! It was the first time I ever traveled far again since the pandemic happened. Last year, fortunately I was able to travel to two other far places before quarantines were enforced. I consider myself lucky haha. Good thing I trusted my gut otherwise I would have regretted not being able to go out of town the entire 2020. I'm happy to say I was able to go to Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City. It was my first time to experience it and I was on my own too! It was a last minute decision to travel and turns out it's so worth it and amazing. (See pic.) Next I was able to go back to Vigan, Ilocos Sur. It's been years since I last visited the place so of course I took pictures. It has two location name markers now: Vigan and Ilocos Sur. That's new for me. Haha. Last time I was there Instagram wasn't too popular yet. On top of that we were able to have a family beach outing after our grandma was laid to rest. She battled cancer for decades, had remissions but eventually it claimed her life in the end, may she rest in peace. She was one of the reasons I was able to have a college education and graduate too. Without her I don't know how different my life would have been. Anyway, now we come to the question I asked above. What were the places you were able to travel to before quarantines and lockdowns happened last year? Did anything fun or weird happen or something? Feel free to share too.

A festival sounds like great fun. Nice to be able to meet up with family too. Sorry about your Grandma I traveled to a place called Longwood Gardens before the pandemic hit us. They have wonderful flower and light displays strung on the trees growing there. Here is a photo of it...

It has been awhile. Can't recall where. I do remember being able to go out with my team to swim and drink in a private pool in the city.

Before lock down I had so many plans to travel just for fun for the sake of my kids (I am more of an indoor person). But corona showed us otherwise. The only place I managed to go was to a neighbouring town for Christmas with my extended family. It was not what we had in mind but it was fun.

I went nowhere this year nor last year, the last place I visited before the 2020 lockdown was my native city in Italy. Milan.

Here in my country also has the same regulation, we're required to have negative PCR test result. I don't go anywhere during this pandemic because I'm a pregnant mom too now it's too dangerous for me and my baby But I was able to go to Bali last year in November for holiday! The road was empty, a lot of stores closed, the beache was more like a private beach back then... it's awful. I wish this pandemic gone and everything back to normal...

Oh take care then. Stay safe since you will be a mom soon. Never been to Thailand, maybe someday I will get to visit Bali too.
