We make our grand entry feted and celebrated mostly. Soon we are on our own making our presence felt with a distinct personality as others are taken! Each one of us is unique in every way. The outer body is the hardware and comes with accouterments to imbibe life and, in modern parlance, to download the software. Therein lies the catch in terms of what software befit us and society around us. We need the gift of discernment as some programs are corruptible, difficult to erase, and define us. Then also some open to ransom ware that hold us to ransom, tough to extricate from their clutches. We end up paying a high price. The hardware ages and even becomes obsolete, so we need to upgrade all the time; maybe a losing battle in the end! It is not able to download the latest programs after a while, but that is life. At times, hardware crashes out of the blue, and we are then done for. We could be revived but we are on shaky ground and at others’ mercy. As long as the music is playing, the choice is ours to look for the best software that suits us. We have limited disc capacity and time, so we need the wisdom to make wise choices and then live with them. No wonder computers and robots are modeled after us – do you think so?
