My just turned 13 year old granddaughter is now fully vaccinated. So are all her friends and all the girls who will be attending overnight camp with her in 11 days. I just wish my 11 year old grandson could get it, too. Both kids want it.

Although vaccines are not enough, they help.

In my opinion I think it's good if they can be vaccineted because at least they will also be safe from getting infected with virus. Have a blessed day my friend

Well if you have taken it, then I don't think they will say no, but still, it's important to take their opinions.

Choice or No Choice there's always an option, but to put it on them to think is bit less maturity of ours.
I mean they are minors and if they can choose the best they're not minors. especially when it comes to this very pressing issue of new normal (the deadly virus) in which the giant experts and doctors also gets stuck from almost 2 years.
Giving choice to the minor children when it comes to health concerns should be avoided.
Children then should also be given choice to eat tons of chocolate or not to eat as per this logic.
Vaccination is the only way we can get out of this worst period of our lifetime.
God bless you your child and this world to get out of this daily dying situation of Covid...

Vaccines against several ailments are put even to babies. I think it is important to be safe more than to exercise our freedom in this cases.

minors are not legally able to consent. It is their parents who choose--but that being said, I would hope that everyone chooses to be vaccinated. Otherwise, we will be looking at Covid for years still

I believe any kid or adult should have the choice. Come next school year, since the vaccine is widly avaible for children 12 and above, schools might require it for in-person learning. But, that's yet to be seen. While a lot of people are lining up to get the jab, there are just as many against the idea.
We have always had the right of our body, our choice. Children often get robbed of this, because parents have to make a lot of decisions for them. I think it's good parenting to let your kid decide.

My son is 18, and my daughter 21, and they both chose on their own to go get vaccinated. If I had kids who were minors, I would talk it over with them and weigh out the negatives and positives, and then let them decide if they wanted the vaccine or not.

I think it should be up to the teen to get it or not, if they are old enough to make that decision. The downside is, even if the teen may opt to not get vaccinated their school may mandate that unless they get the vaccine they cannot attend that school. I've heard of universities that do that so I would not be surprised if schools decide to do that as well. And that is not right.

Yes, they have choice take it or not, from my opinion it's good to be a vaccinated. Vaccine don't have major side effects, if having other conditions then talk with physician, otherwise better to be take vaccine and say no to the virus..
Take care , stay healthy
