Good evening to all of you mylotters. I am showcasing a picture of my latest finished crochet piece. It is a large afghan called a Mosaic Persian Tile afghan which has become very popular lately. It took me about 4 months to crochet it all. All the octagons and squares and triangles were done separately and assembled together one after the other. Then I crochet a border for the whole afghan. Every row of every octagon, square and triangle is done with a different color ranging from white to different shades of blue to a very light pale green. This project was realized with a number 3.5, 4 and 6 mm crochet. The reason why I did this afghan is because my right eye cataract is still there and causes blurred vision and I could not go on for now with my cross-stitch/embroidery/quilting project..

It's so beautiful. I also crochet but just easy projects. Where do we use the afghan?

Thanks Aubrey. The afghan will be used to cover my legs during long winter evening and or cover my bed during long winter night. You really should show your projects here on mylot. I am hopping to your profile to see if you have any....

@frankie2013 I always come across afghan in crochet but really don't know it much. I'm able to make phone case, scrunchie, headbands, heart motif, crochet filet, oreo crochet, I'm really impress by those who make big crochet projects. I stop now my crochet hobby

Thank you Heather. For me it is not so much talent as must plain patience and keeping my fingers busy. Of course I have no patience for anything else after spending it on this project....

I'm sure it looks good despite the vision problem.

Actually I surprised myself. Because the crochet were bigger along with the wool, I did not have a lot of problem doing this afghan compared to my typing my response to your nice comment and visit...
